About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic Program Counselor to join our team in Roselle, NJ. In this hands-on role, you will support individuals both inside our facility and out in the community, helping them engage in everyday experiences that many people take for granted—friendships, hobbies, recreation, family connections, and community life.

You’ll play a vital role in empowering individuals to build independence, confidence, and meaningful relationships, while ensuring safety, dignity, and respect at every step.

What You’ll Do

  • Implement and oversee engaging program activities both on-site and in the community

  • Support participants in community exploration, leisure activities, hobbies, and social connections

  • Provide behavioral support in accordance with individualized treatment plans

  • Model positive behavior, communication, and social skills

  • Collaborate with aides to ensure safe transportation and supervision during activities

  • Observe and document changes in participant health, progress, and behavior

  • Assist with medication facilitation alongside nursing staff, as needed

  • Maintain accurate documentation including attendance, progress notes, and incident reports

  • Promote cleanliness, safety, and shared responsibility within the facility

  • Ensure participants are always treated with dignity, respect, and inclusion as valued community members

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Social Services, or a related field

  • Valid New Jersey driver’s license in good standing

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A compassionate, outgoing personality and a collaborative team mindset
