After postponing the Inroads to Opportunities Earth Day Different Abilities Clean-Up by one day due to inclement weather, the group was out in full force on Thursday morning as dozens lined the streets of Roselle picking up trash along the way.

The Borough of Roselle hosted its annual Autism Awareness Flag Raising Event Monday to celebrate Autism Awareness Month.

Despite the chilly conditions, residents attended the event, which was hosted in front of Borough Hall, in partnership with Inroads to Opportunities, a non-profit organization in the borough that provides programs and services to individuals with disabilities.

Started four years ago, TransitionPlus serves adults ages 21 to 25 who graduated from a transition high school but didn’t have access to continued services if they weren’t ready to enter the work force. The program gives them access to the support, stability, and opportunities they need to build skills and direction after leaving high school.
