Assistant Operations Manager

 

Essential Duties

1. Creates accurate bills of lading as required and makes necessary distribution of copies.

2. Maintains complete and orderly filing system of bills of lading.

3. Directs/monitors personnel doing the loading and unloading of all materials and supplies.

4. Maintains and safely ensures the operation of all material handling equipment by trained personnel.

5. Verifies all incoming and outgoing materials. Performs inventory counts as needed.

6. Properly inspects incoming materials for package integrity.

7. Properly and safely stores all materials in designated storage areas.

8. Properly maintains all material handling equipment in good operating order and reports malfunctions immediately to Operations Manager or Director of Operations.

9. Maintains neat and clean loading dock area and storage areas.

10. Operates agency forklift and material handling equipment as required and under the direction of the Operations Manager.

11. Trains selected participants in the safe use of lifting techniques, pallet jacks and wrapping equipment.

12. Teaches and monitors safety aspects of the workshop staging areas.

13. Able to fill in workshops for production by setting up material to run job.

14. Maintain workshops supplied with running product to not create downtime.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to lift, carry and/or move up to 40 lbs. Must be able to climb steps, balance, kneel, squat or crawl to complete his/her duties. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities to perform his/her essential job duties. Ability to stand for up to 3 hours at a time. Ability to have vision sufficient enough to inspect work products for quality purposes, identify pallet cartons per layer, and the number of layers per pallet.
