Assistant Workshop Supervisor

 

Requirements: Must have High school diploma or GED equivalent.. Minimum of one-year industrial work experience. Perform math computations on a high school level. Communicate in English in areas regarding work tasks.

An Assistant Workshop Supervisor primarily functions as an assistant in any area that might benefit the participants with developmental disabilities in the workshop. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing daily operations and providing support to the supervisor.

Duties:

1. Set-up work operations assigned by the Workshop Supervisor in the manner prescribed.

2. Perform any required material handling or work assigned by the Workshop Supervisor.

3. Maintain neat and safe work areas at all times.

4. Maintain quality standards on all work being performed in designated work areas.

5. Assist supervisor in maintaining production and inventory records as required.

6. Maintain production equipment assigned to the operations and report any malfunctions to the maintenance department or supervisor of the workshop.

7. Assume the responsibility for the protection and security of all equipment and material owned or under contract to the agency.

8. Assist in ensuring the safety and welfare of all participants in or on the premises.

9. Attend and participate in all staff meetings called by the Director of Operations.

10. Alert management if there is need to leave workshops for any reason so that coverage can be provided.

11. Substitute for Workshop Supervisor when assigned and assume all responsibilities from Workshop Supervisor description while substituting.

12. Provide detail to the Workshop Supervisor upon their return regarding the status of the workshop during their absence.

Pay: $16.13 - $20.97 per hour
